Interpolated Font Size (Stress & Loudness)

In this experiment we simulate loudness and stress by interpolating font sizes between letters. An algorithm computes an “ideal” font size using a sine wave function and then adjusts every other letter—if the next letter’s ideal size is larger, we enlarge by 20%; if smaller, we shrink by 20%. This method could be used to emphasize syllables or stress parts of words, much like ultra‑bionic reading.

Pitch Variation Experiment

This experiment represents pitch by shifting each letter’s vertical position. A sine function is used to calculate a vertical offset for each character, simulating rising and falling intonation. Adjust the slider to increase or decrease the pitch amplitude.

Animated Experiments

The following experiments automatically animate their parameters as if a slider were being moved on a loop. You can observe how the stress, pitch, and infection effects vary continuously over time.
