Welcome to Flyxion's World Wide Web Page

(This page requires a graphical browser such as NCSA Mosaic to view images.)

Hello, and welcome to my home page on the World Wide Web! You are visitor number 000041 to this page. This page is best viewed with NCSA Mosaic 2.0 on a 14.4 kbps modem, although it should work fine in Lynx too if you don't care about the pictures.

My name is Flyxion and I am a graduate student studying computer science. I made this page myself using a text editor called vi, because there is no other way to make a web page yet. There are no page-building programs. You just type the tags.

What's New

• 05/14/1993 - Added a link to the Xerox PARC Map Viewer.
• 04/02/1993 - Fixed a typo in my bibliography.
• 02/19/1993 - First version of this page. It only had one paragraph.

My Interests

• Computer Science
• The Information Superhighway
• Usenet newsgroups (comp.infosystems.www is my favorite)
• Gopher menus
• Collecting shareware on 3.5" floppy disks

Other Places on the Web

Here are some links to other documents. Remember, the World Wide Web is still very new, so there are not very many pages yet!

• CERN - where the Web was invented
• NCSA - makers of Mosaic
• My old BBS from back in the day
• My Gopher menu (in case the Web doesn't catch on)
• A much fancier page I will apparently make in a few years
